The ancient medieval town of Monte San Savino is situated in the heart of Tuscany's Val di Chiana. An oasis of tranquillity far from the hustle and bustle of city life; it is the ideal place from where it is quickly and easyly to visit the cities of Florence, Siena and Arezzo, famous for their art and architecture treasure and for thir fine gastronomy.
Equally accessible, and of great historical and gastronomicaò interest are the towns of Montalcino, Pienza, Montepulciano, San Gimignano, Monte Uliveto Maggiore and Cortona.

The sanctuary of Santa Maria delle Vertighe is located near exit 27 of the Autostrada del Sole, of wich this Madonnna is the protector (22km).

Sansovino il Giglio
"Sansovino il Giglio" is a holiday home situated in Tuscany in the province of Arezzo and it is set amongst the green hills of the Valdichiana. It is located in the ancient town of Monte San Savino, a romantic medieval town situated between Arezzo and Siena, not far from Porta Romana. The town overlloks the valley of the torrent Esse, an ancient Etruscan land, whose origins and antiquities have been brought to light by the archaeologist G.F. Gamurrini.
The building is composed of 4 rooms: Taverna/Kitchen/Diner, Living Room-BedRoom, Double Bedroom plus single sofa bed and Bathroom with shower.
The Taverna/Kitchen, composed of a table, a double sofa-bed, color TV and fireplace (with wood at the disposal of guests), is situated in the basement, completely restored and with thick stone walls which keep a pleasant temperature all year round, assuring a fresh tempreature during the Summer and a warm and welcoming enviroment during thw Winter months, thanks of the stone fireplace which allows you to relax in the evenings. There is a wide kitchen composed of a stone sink, cooker, electric oven, microwave oven, fridge, dishwasher and furnished in true Tuscan style.
The living room, which is on the ground floor and restored in true Tuscan style, is composed of a double sofa-bed, satellite TV and a fireplace with wood at guests' disposal. Wide terracotta stairs lead from here to the first floor and a wrought iron staircase (with a small gate for children's safety) leads you to the donstairs. Also on this floor is a bathroom with hand basin, shower cubicle, radiator, wc, bidet and hair dryer and a under stairs washing machine and basin.
The bedroom, composed of a double bed, sofa bed, wide wardrobe and shelning is situated on the second floor, and because od its size can easily accomodate three persons.
